Nuovo Week end di riprese.

Dopo uno stop tecnico di un paio di settimane siamo oggi e domani impegnati nelle riprese di ben quattro scene. Una già realizzata stamattina sotto un sole feroce, con la partecipazione di Federico Bava nella parte del direttore del Supermercato Colombia. Un paio di persone nel bagagliaio della Capri rischiano di fare una brutta fine. Stasera esterna notturna e domani diurna interna per completare le scene iniziate il 10 giugno, il bagno del Caramamma.

New weekend of shooting

After a technical stop for a couple of weeks now and tomorrow we are engaged in shooting of four scenes. One of them already realized this morning under a fierce sun, with the participation of Federico Bava in the Director of Supermarket Colombia. A couple of people in the trunk of Capri are likely to end up badly. Tonight night external and tomorrow inside to complete the scenes started on June 10, the bathroom of the nightclub Caramamma..

Terza giornata di riprese.

Oggi avrebbe dovuto piovere. Invece no. Qualche nuvoletta ma per lo più sole, sole, sole e canicola. Un caldo bestiale che mi ha lasciato una ustione dei tempi migliori a collo, braccia, testa e faccia. Ma alla fine abbiamo portato a casa tre scene, tutte esterne, tutte con la mitica Ford Capri Mk1 del 1972 arancione a strisce bianche. E per finire anche qualche bel camera car. E durante il camera car si è affiancata un'auto alla Capri e gli occupanti hanno urlato ad Alex Lucchesi e Luca Ghignone "siete troppo fighi!"

3th shooting day.
Today was supposed to rain. But no. Some cloud but mostly sun, sun, sun and heat. A frightfully hot that left me a burn of the best times in the neck, arms, head and face. But in the end we brought home three scenes, all exterior, all with the legendary 1972 Ford Capri Mk1 orange with white stripes. And finally, also some lovely camera car. And during the camera car shooting the Ford Capri has been joined by car and the occupants shouted to Alex Lucchesi and Luca Ghignone "You are too cool!"

Ringrazio tutti gli elementi della troupe che hanno partecipato e lavorato alla realizzazione del progetto, dalle scenografie alla fotografia alle edizioni. Senza il loro prezioso aiuto il lavoro non si potrebbe fare. Domani si fa il bis e si gira la scena dei bagni.

La ripartenza.

Quattro giorni appena di vacanza in quel di Londra e nuovamente appena tornati si riparte fra i problemi e la ricerca di soluzioni della produzione.

La visione delle prime immagini girate è confortante, molto confortante. Il fatto che il Macintosh ormai datato non ce la faccia a farle girare fluidamente conforta meno. Si presentano due alternative. Si riduce la risoluzione delle immagini portandola all'HDV (1440 x 1080) oppure si tengono in Full HD (1920 x 1080) e si cambia il computer. La decisione in entrambi i casi è seccante ma probabilmente di opterà per l'esborso del danaro per un Mac nuovo.

The vision of the first footage is comforting, very comforting. The fact that the old Macintosh not get done to make them run smoothly is less comforting. We have two alternatives. We can reduce the image resolution bringing it to HDV (1440 x 1080) or keep them in Full HD (1920 x 1080) and change the computer. The decision in both instances is annoying but probably will opt for the disbursement of money for a new Mac.

Muu Cocktail Bar shooting.

Primi bilanci.

Il lunedì è passato, finalmente giorno di riposo (ma non per tutti) dopo le riprese di sabato e domenica.
Adesso è momento di fare un primo bilancio e di lavorare per impostare le successive riprese. Abbiamo un paio di settimane in cui non gireremo e le sfrutteremo per portarci avanti con la produzione. Bisognerà limare la macchina organizzativa e renderla ancora più efficiente. L'unico problema che abbiamo avuto nella lavorazione è stato un ritardo di un'ora. Direi che è una cosa più che accettabile contando che erano i primi giorni organizzati in emergenza e in poco tempo.
Nel frattempo cominceremo a montare le due scene girate che verranno poi affidate al compositore Enrico Matera che comincerà a lavorare sulle musiche delle stesse. L'idea è di far procedere la post produzione parallelamente alle riprese in modo di portarci avanti con il lavoro. Ci saranno novità a breve.


First results.
Monday is gone, at last rest day after the shooting on Saturday and Sunday.
Now it's time to take stock and work to set the subsequent shots. We have a couple of weeks to take us forward with production. We must polish the organizers and make it more efficient. The only problem we had was working with a one hour delay. I guess that's more than acceptable considering that were organized in an emergency and in no time.
Meanwhile we will begin to assemble the two scenes shot that will be entrusted to the composer Enrico Matera who will begin working on the soundtrack. There will be news soon.

Secondo giorno di riprese.

Di rientro dalla nuova scena di 2 di Picche.
Stavolta la location è stata il Muu Cocktail Bar e Dante e Gerda se la sono dovuta vedere con Frank il Brizzolato, luogotenente del boss della cosca avversaria Tonio Spampanaro, detto il Catramaro (perché gli piace seppellire la gente sotto l'asfalto).
E' stato un vero piacere lavorare con attori del calibro di Luca Ghignone e Alex Lucchesi al quale si è aggiunto il grandissimo Franco Ghibaudi nella parte del Brizzolato. E' venuto a trovarci sul set anche Alessandro Lussiana che interpreterà il direttore del centro commerciale Colombia, edificio dalle particolari e caratteristiche fondamenta.
Quando questa amalgama di attori e di tecnici che è il set si miscela perfettamente si crea quell'alchimia che capita poche volte e genera il ciak perfetto. Un ciak che diventa praticamente irripetibile e che da il senso a tanto lavoro e tanta fatica. Oggi è successo, la perfezione è giunta come una graditissima e preziosissima perla rara.


Second shooting day.
Return from the new scene of "2 of Spades".
This time the location was the Muu Cocktail Bar (located in Turin, Italy) and Dante and Gerda had to do with the Grizzled Frank, lieutenant of the opposing gang boss Tonio Spampanaro, aka Asphalt Layer (because he likes the people buried under the asphalt).
It 's been a real pleasure to work with actors like Luca Ghignone and Alex Lucchesi to which is added the great Franco Ghibaudi as the Grizzled. It's come and see us on the set even Alessandro Lussiana who will play the director of the Colombia Shopping Center, building on some particular and  characteristics foundations.

Voglio ringraziare i compagni di viaggio, tecnici e artisti bravi, professionali e professionisti, le comparse che ci hanno prestato il loro tempo e Nadia e Roberto che ci hanno aperto il locale nella giornata in cui avrebbero dovuto riposare.

I want to thank my fellow travelers, artists and skilled technicians, professionals and practitioners, the extras who have lent their time and Nadia and Roberto who opened the Muu Cocktail Bar in the day when they should rest.

2 di Picche Reboot: la partenza.

E' appena iniziata l'avventura di 2 di Picche Serie Web!
Dopo due episodi realizzati e varie traversie (fra cui la sostituzione di uno degli attori principali) sono finalmente iniziate le riprese della nuova serie web di 2 di Picche.
Si tratta infatti di un vero e proprio reboot, una ripartenza, un rilancio per un format che aveva visto nei primi due episodi, slegati fra di loro, il tentativo di creare e definire un nuovo mondo di personaggi di fantasia.
La nuova serie sarà di 10 episodi, un episodio 0 introduttivo e 9 episodi, tutti consequenziali fra loro, nei quali si narreranno le sorti di Dante e Gerda, due scagnozzi pasticcioni del boss della mala Picche. I due prendono ordini dal luogotenente di Picche, il Signor Boda, del quale hanno un terrore nero e che affiderà loro missioni che inevitabilmente falliranno incorrendo nelle sue ire.

Ieri è stato il primo giorno di riprese, tutto è andato bene, bella location ma sopra tutto ottimo cast di attori tra i quali Alex Lucchesi (Eaters) nella parte di Gerda e Luca Ghignone (doppiatore, anche di John Leguizamo in Spun) nella parte di Dante. Umberto Procopio (Il partigiano Johnny) sarà Boda.


2 of Spades reboot: the beginning.
It 's just begun the adventure of "2 of Spades" Web Series!
After two episodes and ​​some incidents (including the replacement of one of the main actors) we have finally started filming the new web series "2 of Spades".
It is indeed a true reboot, a raise for a format that had seen the first two episodes, unrelated to each other, trying to create and define a new world of fantasy characters.
The new series will be 10 episodes, an introductory episode 0 and 9 episodes, all consequential to one another, in which we tell the fate of Dante and Gerda, two bungling henchmen of the mafia boss Mr. Spades. They take orders from the scary lieutenant of Spades, Mr. Boda and entrust their missions that will inevitably fail in its incurring wrath.
